Evidently Shoetown: Poetry in Northampton

The wordsmiths of Northampton
Are an interesting bunch
They eat spoken word for breakfast
Guzzle toasted prose for lunch

Spinning their spells of word-zardry
Of beautiful linguistics
Some sculpt wild, intricate rhyme schemes of magnificence
Others do not

Their monthly talent gathering
A literary gemstone
That's unjustly underpraised

They bless the grand old Brolly Fair
This meek yet mighty plethora
Pierces our dull facade

Your craftsmanship exceeds this town
Yet most don't even know it
So let's celebrate the word weavers!
Hats off to the poets!
