Teenage fin-omenon Badly Kept Fish headline The Racecourse Pub

On Friday 10th August, a trio of talents take to the Northampton Racecourse Pub for what promises to be a night full of upbeat indie brilliance. Badly Kept Fish are the headline band - brimming with energy to get whole "plaice" up on their feet - the teenage fin-omenon continue to blow the county away with an incredible sound packed full of infectious indie rock awesomeness. Across live venues, the radio and even on the NME website the side-swept racket-makers are tipped as one of the next big things to emerge out of the county and look firmly on their way to doing exactly that. I have no trout you're gonna love 'em!

As well as Mother Mary (brilliant live performers but sadly have no music online), Joy Division-esque post-punk meets uptempo dance along tunage Jubilee Courts continue on their mission to play at every single venue in Northampton before the year is out (good luck with the Royal & Derngate is all I can say!) For a band so young, their dance-pumped rawness has the texture, tightness and all round talent of a band well above their years, and - although their out of town successes may have a grand total of none - Jubilee Courts are fast becoming one of best new bands to form inside of Northampton this year, with a much hotly anticipated future ahead of them.
