Siren-ic serenity from An Army Of Lights

They hid, we sought, now psychedelic guitar band An Army Of Lights return with another free download from their SoundCloud: the soothingly harmonious new single Sirens. One of Northampton's indie pop gems, the silky smooth four piece boast successful performances across the UK as well as support slots alongside several major bands playing in Northampton - most recently Mercury-nominated chart toppers The View (who still haven't changed their jeans for four years now!) - and a glowing review as one of NME's top breakthrough bands to watch, a vast collection of achievements that just keeps on growing.

Their threat "if we catch you, you'll be black and blue" is about as empty as a Wrestling Sabre-Toothed Tigers for Charity sign up sheet! In fact, if An Army Of Lights caught you, you'd probably end up basking in the rays of summer sunshine emanating from their beautiful music as the band ascend into an epic climax of tightly-played loveliness. So start getting those vocal chords warmed up and your leg muscles pumping because, in between the legends that are Badly Drawn Boy and Dr. Feelgood, your Northampton Music Festival 2012 will now feature some absolute tunage from these four. Enjoy.
