Reading some of the many reviews of The Electroscopes, it seems almost mandatory to cram in as many comparisons to the producers of yesteryear as possible. However, despite having the air of a time gone by about it (no pun about late 90's downtempo duo Air intended), Made A Mistake to me sounds more like some sort of futuristic 23rd century amusement park for androids.
Following on from their last release in April - an exclusive free download to this very site - Paul Mansell and co. are putting out the synthesised symphony as a limited edition run of seven inches on German label Firestation Records, bright and early for the mechanical hoverboarders of 2200! And with its chilled-out melodies and vibrant electropop breakdowns, you might just find your ears becoming married to it too.
