Having already conquered the county with her blend of Laura Marling-esque indie folk and bouncy pop melodies, Charlotte Carpenter may well have created my favourite EP this year. Which is why I am delighted to announce that the Kettering lovely has been signed to istartedthefire Records and will be re-releasing her second record Love Songs later this year. Performing at Nottingham's Dot To Dot festival this weekend with the likes of Lucy Rose, Dog Is Dead and home grown sensation Jake Bugg, Charlotte Carpenter looks to be going from strength to strength in the months ahead.
